Volunteering with TPUF over the past two years has been such a rewarding and meaningful experience for me. From the very beginning, it felt more than just a place to help out – it felt like a community. Everyone is so welcoming, and over time it really starts to feel like a second family. One of my favourite parts has been getting involved in different events and workshops. Whether we’re hosting something for the community or just working together in the garden, there’s always a sense of teamwork and positivity. It’s special to see everyone come together to create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for all visitors. Through TPUF, I’ve made so many amazing friends who make every visit to the garden something I genuinely look forward to. Even the simple moments – like working side by side or laughing together while setting up for an event – are what make the experience so memorable. I also love the garden cooking activities. Making cookies together is always fun, and preparing herbal teas is one of my favourite experiences. There’s something really special about walking through the garden, hand-picking fresh herbs, and then turning them into something you can share with others. It makes you feel connected to the space in a deeper way. Watching the garden change over time has also been incredible. Seeing flowers bloom in the summer and noticing how everything grows and transforms makes all the hard work feel worth it. It’s a reminder that the effort everyone puts in truly pays off. Overall, volunteering with TPUF has been an unforgettable experience. It’s not just about gardening, it’s about community, connection, and creating something meaningful together.
