The Power of Sharing
Thorncliffe Park Urban Farmers’ art & story project explores gardens as spaces where human creativity and nature’s creativity meet, and is being exhibited this fall at the Evergreen Brickworks. TPUF is a grassroots organization that’s been growing healthy food, community & environmental education for over 10 years.
Michelle Delaney, Leader of TPUF, was asked if the unconditional sharing of recorded Garden Produce will be reduced when taken by those who do not volunteer. Her response was that this will motivate more volunteers and when there are more hands working, there will be more to harvest.
Indeed, a very Philosophical way of Thinking and Paying Forward.
Michelle’s other touching observation was that when you see the newcomers to the building. 71 and others smelling and savouring the freshly harvested organic Chives, you indeed feel that your hard work, dedication and vegetables sharing are worthwhile.
TPUF – You have created an “Amazing Zone of Its Own”.
