Weekend Garden Volunteer Sessions
Join Thorncliffe Park Urban Farmers every Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM – 1 PM for hands-on community gardening sessions at 53 and 71 Thorncliffe Park Drive.
Our weekend sessions are open to community members of all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re new to gardening or have years of experience, there’s always meaningful work to do — planting, harvesting, maintaining beds, learning about sustainable growing practices, and connecting with neighbours.
These sessions are a space to:
- Learn about urban agriculture and food systems
- Build skills in growing and caring for plants
- Support local food access initiatives
- Spend time outdoors in a welcoming, inclusive environment
No experience is required. Just bring comfortable clothing, water, and a willingness to learn and collaborate.
Come grow with us — together we cultivate food, knowledge, and community.
📍 Please arrive at 53 Thorncliffe Park Drive first.
The garden is located behind the building, and our team will welcome you there before directing volunteers as needed.
Please come prepared:
- Bring your own water bottle
- Dress appropriately for the weather
- Wear closed-toe shoes you don’t mind getting dirty
