Starting May 9th, Thorncliffe Park Urban Farmers will be collecting organic kitchen waste from local residents to help turn food scraps into nutrient-rich compost for our community gardens.
Instead of sending food waste to landfill, let’s close the loop — together!
🗓 Program Launch: May 9
🕚 Information Session: 11:00 AM
📍 53 Thorncliffe Park Drive (garden located behind the building)
Join us at 11 AM to learn:
- What materials can and cannot be composted
- How the collection process works
- How your food scraps support local food growing
- Why composting matters for climate and community
We will provide collection bins to participating residents.
This program is open to local Thorncliffe Park residents who want to reduce waste and support community-led urban agriculture.
Let’s turn scraps into soil 🌱
