DESCRIPTION:Starting May 9th\, Thorncliffe Park Urban Farmers will be collecting organic kitchen waste from local residents to help turn food scraps into nutrient-rich compost for our community gardens. \nInstead of sending food waste to landfill\, let’s close the loop — together! \n🗓 Program Launch: May 9🕚 Information Session: 11:00 AM📍 53 Thorncliffe Park Drive (garden located behind the building) \nJoin us at 11 AM to learn: \n\nWhat materials can and cannot be composted\nHow the collection process works\nHow your food scraps support local food growing\nWhy composting matters for climate and community\n\nWe will provide collection bins to participating residents. \nThis program is open to local Thorncliffe Park residents who want to reduce waste and support community-led urban agriculture. \nLet’s turn scraps into soil 🌱 \nInterested?
